Spent coffee beans and grounds alike are naturally full of vital nutrients which can benefit and promote the growth of your flower & vegetable patches or pots.
Finjan Al Basch has created an internal programme named COFFEE 2 COMPOST.
Everyday teams from the lab and the production facility collectively gather all our coffee by-products and coffee waste which mainly comprises of coffee chaff (skins), roasted coffee beans and loose grounds from testing and cupping which are then shared around as compost among our avid gardeners and to the local community allotments.
The advantages are clear! Less of our waste goes to landfill and after a bit of patience, TLC, rain and sunshine. Hey Presto! We suddenly all find ourselves with some ripe organic fruit and veg that would make any dish extra tasty.
